As a homeschooling mother of four I understand the importance of capturing every single detail of my children's young lives as they occur on a day to day basis. The time that we spend with them seems to slip away so fast and the photographs that we take over the years are more precious then gold because they allow us to relive those fond memories of them growing up right before our eyes.

I began studying the craft of photography in high school and then went on to continue studies in college at the University of Miami in Coral Gables FL, where I obtained my bachelor's degree in communication, with a concentration in photography.

Shortly after graduating from college I started out doing freelance wedding photography work for Palm Beach Photography (a local wedding photography company) and for Miami Agent Magazine (a real estate/event magazine). Eventually I was offered a position as a general manager for FotoIllusion Studios (a youth sports photography company) where I managed photo shoots and photographers for various sports leagues in the tri-county areas of Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.

After the birth of my third child I realized that it was time to venture into my own business and thus Athena Scott Photography was incorporated in January of 2007. I have enjoyed photographing pregnant couples, newborn babies, toddlers, children and their families since then.  It gives me great joy to be able to share my gift of photography with so many wonderful families.  Thank you!
